ShelbyNext Membership is a secure online system that helps our church stay connected and keep membership information up to date. It allows you to review and update your contact information, add a photo, view the church directory and review your giving history.
You are in control of the information that appears in the church directory. By keeping your profile current, you help our church family communicate, care for one another and stay connected.

What is ShelbyNext Membership?
ShelbyNext Membership is the secure online system our church uses to manage membership information. It allows you to view the church directory, update your contact information, review your giving history and print contribution statements.
Why is our church using ShelbyNext Membership?
ShelbyNext Membership helps our church keep information accurate and up to date. It gives members convenient access to church information from a computer, smartphone or tablet. It also gives church staff and leaders better tools for managing membership, groups, contributions and finances.
Who can view the church directory?
Only UMCWFB staff members and authorized church members who are included in the directory can view it. A username and password are required.
What information can other directory members see?
Your privacy settings determine which information other directory members can see. Depending on your selections, this may include:
- Home, work and mobile phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Home and mailing addresses
- Birthday information
- Names of family members in your household
You may see additional information in your own profile or the profiles of your household members that is not visible to other directory members.
Do I have to use ShelbyNext Membership?
No. However, we encourage members with access to a computer, smartphone or tablet to give it a try. ShelbyNext makes it easier to keep your information current, view the directory and review your giving history.
Church staff, group leaders and volunteers may also find its communication and group-management features helpful.
Why are we not producing a printed directory?
A printed directory can quickly become outdated as phone numbers, email addresses and home addresses change. It is also costly to print and distribute. ShelbyNext Membership provides more current information and allows members to control what information is shared.
Can the church office update my information for me?
Yes. The church office will be happy to help you. Send your updated information or photo by email to Erin Norris, or call the Church Office at 414-964-2424.
How do I change my password?
From a computer:
- Sign in to ShelbyNext Membership.
- Click My Info.
- Click the Account tab.
- Enter and confirm your new password.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue Save button.
From the MinistryOne app:
- Open the MinistryOne app.
- On the login screen, select Forgot Password?
- Follow the instructions in the password-reset email you receive.
If the email does not arrive, check your spam or junk folder.
Will I have to change my password every 30 days?
No. You will not be required to change your password every 30 days.
What should I do if I am having trouble signing in?
Select Forgot Password? on the login screen and follow the instructions. Be sure to use the email address you normally use to communicate with the church.
If you still cannot sign in, call the Church Office at 414-964-2424 or email Erin Norris.
How can I view my giving history and pledges?
From a computer:
- Sign in to ShelbyNext Membership.
- Click My Info.
- Click the Giving tab.
- Your pledge information will appear first. Scroll down to view individual contributions.
From the MinistryOne app:
- Open the MinistryOne app and sign in.
- Open the menu in the upper-left corner.
- Select Giving.
- Select the History tab.
What should I do if I find an error in my giving history?
Please call the Church Office at 414-964-2424 or email Erin Norris. Please include the date and amount of the contribution in question, when possible.
Can other directory members see my giving history?
No. Other directory members cannot see your giving history. Your giving information is available only to you and authorized church staff members who need access to maintain the church's financial records.
Keep your password private, and sign out when using a shared or public computer. Please remember that cash and check contributions received by the church are handled by members of the counting team as part of the church's normal contribution-processing procedures.
Can I print a contribution statement?
Yes. Contribution statements can be downloaded from the computer version of ShelbyNext Membership.
- Sign in to ShelbyNext Membership.
- Click My Giving in the menu.
- Click Statement.
- Select the desired Date Filter.
- Select the Tax Deduction option.
- Click Download.
- Open the downloaded PDF file and print it.
You may also select Email Statement to receive a PDF copy by email.
Note: You will need a program that can open PDF files, such as the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
When will my contributions appear in ShelbyNext?
Processing time depends on how the contribution was made. Most contributions will appear within one week.
If a contribution does not appear within one month, please contact Erin Norris.
What should I do if my personal information is incorrect?
You can update your information yourself or ask the Church Office to make the change for you.
From a browser:
- Sign in to ShelbyNext Membership.
- Click My Info.
- Click the Pencil icon.
- Make your changes.
- Scroll to the bottom and click the blue Save button.
From the MinistryOne app:
- Open the MinistryOne app and sign in.
- Select the Account icon in the upper-right corner.
- Select Edit Profile.
- Make your changes.
- Scroll to the bottom and select the blue Save button.
What should I do if I do not want to appear in the directory?
You may choose not to be included in the directory. Call the Church Office at 414-964-2424 or email Erin Norris for assistance.
How do I make a donation online?
From the MinistryOne app:
- Open the MinistryOne app and sign in.
- Open the menu in the upper-left corner.
- Select Giving.
- Select the Give tab, if it is not already open.
- Read the information displayed and select Continue.
- Enter your donation information and follow the instructions to complete your gift.
You may give using a bank account or a credit or debit card. Using a bank account generally results in a lower processing fee for the church.
From a computer:
- Visit ShelbyNext Membership.
- Click Give Now.
- Follow the instructions to enter and submit your donation.
Important: The online-giving system may require a different username and password than the one you use for ShelbyNext Membership.
