Dr. Brian Bauknight is a
life-long native of Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania. He recently retired
from serving for 27 years as Minister for Oversight and
Purchasing at Christ UMC, Bethel Park,
Pennsylvania. At his retirement
the church had a membership of 3,500. During his tenure, Christ
Church exhibited at least
three spiritual values:

developing leadership through spiritual gifts;
·
forming disciples;
·
and a vital balance between in-reach and outreach.

Dr. Bauknight currently serves as
Assistant to the Bishop of the Western Pennsylvania Conference and
on the Steering Committee for the Large Church Initiative of the
General Board of Discipleship.
Dr. Bauknight has written extensively
on stewardship, spiritual gifts and church staffing. He is a sought
out teacher, preacher and consultant for United Methodist churches
of all sizes.
Currently, Dr. Bauknight and his wife
live on a co-owned sustainable farm with his son and family.
Worship Schedule
Dr. Bauknight will be the guest preacher on Saturday at 5 p.m.
and
Sunday at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., and 10:30 a.m. worship services. His
sermon “Substantive Abundance” is based on Luke 21: 1-4. Join us
for a service of inspirational preaching and worship.
