The Knitting group meets 52 weeks a year on Thursday’s at 1:00 p.m. in the Walnut Room.  They’ve knitted caps and scarves for Joy House and Hope House, mittens for Seifert School children, lap robes for nursing home residents, prayer shawls for shut-ins, caps and booties for premature infants, mittens for Guatemala and donations for the annual UMW bazaar.  They also send boxes of yarn to the Mission Church in Nome, Alaska.  The members find their Thursday afternoons blessed with friendship, achievement, and care for and love of God’s less fortunate children.  Knitters of all skill levels are welcome.
