This new G.P.S. (God’s
Positioning Strategy) core curriculum class will be offered for the
first time in summer 2012 and will be repeated each year in winter,
as lay persons of different ages youth through senior adult share
their own personal faith stories in a small group setting. If you
have wondered about your fellow church members’ personal faith
journeys but have been afraid to ask them, this is your moment to
find out! Each week there will be one or two different speakers, so
every session stands alone and you can come and go as your schedule
allows. Watch weekly JOY Notes for the names of next presenter(s).

A continuing Bible study,
going deeper into the Word with the new study beginning in
January being The Letters of Paul: Philippians and Romans. This
traditional adult Sunday School class shares Christian

Outliers is the topic being discussed in January, along with these films that will be discussed: “Forks Over Knives” and “Inside Job.” Facilitated by rotational leadership.

A Facebook Bible Study Online

This class which started in early fall has really
taken off with over 24 persons now connected via Facebook. Biblical
topics will vary, according to the desires of the class members.

Progressive Christian Explorations 9:00 - 10:00
a.m.

ongoing, year-round

This class uses a progressive way of looking at Scripture
and living the Christian life. They are continuing with the study begun in the fall Speaking
Christian: Redeeming Christian Language by Marcus Borg. This takes a look at Christian language that is unfamiliar and often misunderstood.
Facilitated by rotational leadership.
