Meet Mother Teresa, Bishop
Desmond Tutu, Albert Schweitzer and Tony Dungy, to name a few. It
will be great! Come join us and enjoy interesting stories, crafts
and food. Everyone is welcome from kindergarten through 5th grade.

Backpack Project
Help us fill 200
backpacks with school supplies for children
at Solomon Community Temple UMC/Sidewalk
Sunday School, Rising Sun Camp (for children
whose parents are incarcerated), Emmanuel
United Methodist Church on W. Silver Spring
Drive, JOY House Shelter at Milwaukee Rescue
Mission, and Hope House Shelter. We need all
sorts of items and you can pick up a
shopping list in the narthex.
Donations
will be collected in Summer Sunday School
and in the narthex collection box until
August 14. On August 15 there will be a
pizza party to assemble the collected
supplies into backpacks to be delivered for
the start of school.
No time to
shop?
No problem! Your $25 will provide all the
necessary sulies, inppcluding a backpack.
Drop off your monetary donation at the
church office and mark "Backpack Project" in
the memo section.

KIDS FROM WISCONSIN
perform at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, 19805 W.
Capital Drive, Brookfield, WI in a concert benefiting United
Methodist Children’s Services. Tickets are $20, of which $15 of the
ticket price is a tax deductible donation to UMCS. For tickets

In 2007,
United Methodist Children’s Services of Wisonsin, Inc. served
34,000 women, children and families living in poverty. UMCS
operates the largest Emergency Food Pantry in Milwaukee County.
Proceeds form this concert will help fund relocating the Food Pantry
into the first floor of our new 24-unit affordable-rate rental
apartment building. This
